I Am 55 Completely Healthy ... That Is, Until Recently.

I am 55 completely healthy ... that is, until recently. I have terrible ear pain, closing throat episodes, pain that feels like a tooth ache at times and some times will end up in the chest. The diagnosis ... Eagle Syndrome. Ugh. So, here's my question ... in your opinion ... should a person try to deal with these pains with medicine or surgery?
