I Am 61. Got A Large Abscess On Pharynx And

I am 61. Got a large abscess on pharynx and swollen tonsils 7 weeks ago. Emergency tonsillectomy Nov 6. Had just returned from Jamaica. Had ocean water at resort in mouth. Now have swollen lumps at back of tongue, whitish coating in post-surgical areas and now see small red blotch forming on roof of mouth around tonsil area. Infection or disease of some kind? Cannot really get a picture to send you. Thoughts? I am seeing my G.P. Tuesday.
