I Am 67. I Have Arthritis Of The Neck And

I am 67. I have arthritis of the neck and spine and degeneration of the spine. My neck is stiff. My shoulders are sore too. Today I woke with a swollen and sore gland on the right side of my neck right above the shoulder. I don't have a cold or any illness that I know of. I have allergies and take an allergy pill at night.
Should I have my doctor check it out or wait to see if it goes away? Linda
