I Am 68 Years Old And Postmenopausal. I Had Not

I am 68 years old and postmenopausal. I had not had hot flashes or night sweats for 5 years and they returned at end of last year. My doctor says it is not menopausal but has not looked for any medical reasons why it has returned. She gave me Celexa. I am currently going for acupuncture and traditional chinese herbal medicine. What is causing this? I had nausea and was diagnosed with diverticulosis. I no longer have nausea but still have horrific night sweats and hot flashes.
