I Am 68 Years Old And Recently Had To Have

I am 68 years old and recently had to have surgery because of a fall which resulted in my having to have surgery on my fractured thigh. Only 2 weeks before this event my primary doctor said I needed hip replacement surgery. Is this even possible since they had to nail it? My weight at present is 250.
