I Am 70 Years, Male. I Have Been Having Lumber

I am 70 years, male. I have been having lumber back problems. MRI in 2004 showed that there are degenerated lumber disks, bilateral annular buldges, more on left side and obliterating epidural fat in L5-S1, L1-L2 and L2-L3. As the pain was radiating in left leg, I was given two cortisone epidural injections and lived normally for so long. Since last one month, I have been having pain, off and on in the right hip. This pain is confusing as sometimes rest improves and sometimes walking improves it. Also at times I have pain in various parts of body like both shoulders, calfs, thighs, lumber as well as dorsal back and hips. The orthopedic surgeon says "the pain is possibly due to disks. But not serious as the pain is intermittent and does not radiate to legs." At times I am not able to even sleep due to the pain. Yesterday my Physician has ordered uric acid and RA factor tests. Can you please guide. Thanks.
