Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 71 and in good health but struggle with asthma which is normally controlled. However after flying I got a upper respiratory infection that triggered my previously controlled asthma. I went to acute care on Sunday and was given a prescription for Prednisone to better control the wheezing I was experiencing. I am now also coughing up green phlegm. The wheezing is still present but better. It don't have a fever but continue with some tiredness which is to be expected. Should I check further with my doctor or could I have a bacterial infection. Just wondering what is best to do. I am not on an antibiotic. Thank you in advance.
