I Am 71-year-old Female, And My Doctor Recommended Fosamax For

I am 71-year-old female, and my doctor recommended Fosamax for slight bone loss. After reading the side effects and talking to two friends who were on Fosamax and went off of it I am not sure I want to take it. I do have acid reflux and think the combination of both this drug and the acid reflux is not a good thing. What do you recommend? My two friends are having a once-a-year infusion. Is this recommended?
