I Am 72 And Had Shingles At The End Of

I am 72 and had shingles at the end of 2015. I took a 5 day course of anti viral medication. After a few weeks the pain remained and I was prescribed Lyrica which cleared up the pain quickly. I noticed an odd smell about my body while I had shingles but now 4 months later it still remains and even affects my urine.
I don't feel that I have regained my health since then. Is this normal.? What can I do to feel strong again?
