I Am 73 Years Old And Broke My Pelvis In

I am 73 years old and broke my pelvis in the groin area 2 years ago. Recently, I was hit by a kid on a scooter and hit my hip on the ground. I have pain in the hip and also the groin-not as bad as it was when I broke the pelvis but close. Is it common to irritate the old injury area after a fall?
