I Am 76 Years Old I Have A .large Hard

I am 76 years old I have a .large hard knot on the right side of my neck When I open my mouth like a yawn You can see and feel it. Quite large Going from jaw up toward the ear. It is hard. it does not hurt unless I press on it. Could it be cancer?
