I Am 77 Yrs Old And Cannot Recall If I

I am 77 yrs old and cannot recall if I ever had the chicken pox as a child & did not get the shingles shot. however, my younger brother of 74 yr has just been affected with shingles. I spent 1 week with him & his wife in Branson Missouri in an RV vacation. It appears that he had the chicken pox when younger. Should I assume that I had them too. Plse advise....thank you
