I Am 80 Years Old, And For The Past One

I am 80 years old, and for the past one year I have been having balance problems. I have been to several Dr's & told That I do have several prpblems with my back, however nothing that should cause the problem I am having. I have a slight tenderness around my right ear when I wash my facejust under my ear. could this be a problem.
