I Am A 43 Yr Old Female. When I Lay

I am a 43 yr old female. When I lay down at night my pulse plays up. It will beat normally then races a bit (3 or 4 beats) then skips a beat but then the next beat that comes is really strong and powerful. I can feel it coming and I feel like I can hear the strong heartbeat.
