I Am A 49 Yr Old Female Will Be 50

I am a 49 yr old female will be 50 in April. I am perimenopausal. Up until December 2015, I have had normal periods. December comes and I missed it for 2 full cycles. I did recently get a period in January and it lasted 10 days. It was stopped for 5 days and now I have it again. Is this normal?
I am very moody which I had this feeling that I was getting it again.
