Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 52 years old woman. I'm 92 pounds, 4-11 inches. 4 and half years ago I had ovarian cancer (stage IIB) and had a complete hysterectomy and they also removed my appendix. My oncologists request for me to do a f/u ct abdomen pelvis scan with contrast and IV twice a year aside from a CA 125. Everything in my ct scan for the past 4 and half years have been OK with no evidence of local recurrence or regional or distant metastatic disease. However, in my last ct scan done 1 week ago, they saw for the 1 time a "focal fatty infiltration around the falciform ligament" and a subcentimeter hypodensity seen in the left kidney. They said that it was too small to adequately characterize the finding on the left kidney. What this means? Thanks, VR
