I Am A 52 Yr Old Female In Great Health.

I am a 52 yr old female in great health. For the past 3 years every time i get a cold, i also begin wheezing, sometimes quite bad. The cold goes away but the wheezing sticks around, once it tool 30 days to clear up. I am not a smoker of anything. Why is this happening. Going to the doctor for a prescription is not a option right now. thank you very much
