I Am A 55 Year Old Male Who Has Within

I am a 55 year old male who has within the last month and a half have noticed a change in my stool. I used to have a solid stool most of my life, in fact even constipated upon occasion. As of late I experience an increased amount of gas, uncomfortable gas, and very loose stool. Would giving a stool sample be an answer? Thank you Brian
