I Am A 55 Yr Old Female With Only My

I am a 55 yr old female with only my left kidney in tack as right one was removed due to renal pelvis carcinoma in 2003. I am now suffering from UPJ and my urologogist is suggesting a PYELOPlasty surgery. I have a stent in and was put in in aug2015 bc of emergency. I had it replaced yesterday but in saying that for the past three weeks it feels like I have a fist in my side. Just tender and finding it difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep. Today I'm still having the pain and the stent change yesterday has not helped. My question is two part
1). Should I be telling my urologist about the still persistent pain I'm having or just wait for surgery to correct that which will be jam/feb 2016.
2). With only one kidney. Do u think this procedure is the best answer for the situation
F. Y. I. I just had a laparoscopic hysterectomy two weeks ago because of grade one endometrial carcinoma
