I Am A 55 Yr Old Healthy Woman With No

I am a 55 yr old healthy woman with no symptoms of gerd who suddenly has a fairly severe pain in my upper stomach where the esophagus meets the stomach. This started yesterday and has continued to get worse. Very painful on palpatation just in that area about the size of a fist. I took a laxative last night thinking it may be constipation and went to the bathroom about 5 times this morning but that did nothing for the pain. I came home in severe pain this afternoon and tried pepto and taking fenectadine but that has done nothing. About an hour ago I took tagamet but so far nothing from that. Could this be an ulcer with symptoms so sudden and unrelenting? At this point I don't want to eat or even move much because that causes more pain.A couple of weeks ago I went through a 17 day bout of sore throat and virus symptoms but have felt completely better since until this. Thank-you
