I Am A 58 Year Old Type 2 Diabetic Male

I am a 58 year old type 2 diabetic male in very good physical condition and maintain an A1c well under 7.0. I take benicar 40mg and 12.5mg of chlorthalidone daily for blood pressure.
I strength train and cardio fat burn several times a week, and do high intensity intewrval training cardio twice a week.
I do not experience any chest pain, and have had regular cardio checkups, the most recent one being 4-6 months ago.
I have recently begun experiencing sporadic pain in my upper left arm, just above the tricep muscle, in between the tricep and bicep, which are both muscular. It comes and goes over the past week, is not painful, but is noticeable sporadic discomfort.

Is this symptom cause for further investigation by a cardiologist at this time?
