I am a 6-day post-op hysterectomy patient. I had my foley catheter discontinued my first day postop, but I could not void. A new foley was placed and left in until today (5 days later) at my follow up appt. I was able to void 400cc fairly easily. When I returned home, I could only dribble about 20cc on 3 attempts in a 4 hour span. I had to go to an urgent care after 6 hours of urinary retension. My output was over 1200cc. How can I retrain my bladder to void again?
