I Am A 60 Year Old Woman, Who Is Post

I am a 60 year old woman, who is post menopausal (obviously) ha! I had hot flashes years ago, but I am now experiencing something different. I randomly get cold and hot throughout the day and night. These seem to be extremes--way out of proportion to anything I ever experienced in menopause. What kinds of things could be causing the "temperature control" in my body to go completely haywire?
