I Am A 60 Yr. Old Female, Former Athlete Until

I am a 60 yr. old female, former Athlete until my femur was shattered ( compound fx ) & knee cartilage torn. After my 7th surgery, 2nd total knee replacement 2 yrs. ago, I went to P.T. &it was doing better until I developed loud, palpable crackly sounding tissue on rt side of knee going vertically down it. It crackles on moving leg from a straight legged position to a 90 degree or more position. I'' assuming this is scar tissue. What are the chances a debridement of the scar tissue followed by P.T. will lessen the moderate to extreme pain & the need for opiate Pain medication ?
