I Am A 65 Years Old Woman. My Right Foot

I am a 65 years old woman. My right foot and toes started swelling yesterday. It is only my foot. It is no longer swelling but has stayed swollen . It is not painful. I have never been diagnosed with blood clots. It is not discolored. I have been keeping it elevated. Not sure if I should put ice or heat on it....Your thoughts please.
