I Am A 66 Year (young) White Female. I Have

I am a 66 year (young) white female. I have a burn on by left hip, from a heating pad! (Jan 5) (I fell asleep)
It made a large blister (1 1/2 - 2 ") which I carefully treated with zinc oxide for a week. It leaked on the 5th day. I saw my nurse practitioner after 1 week, who prescribed Silvadene, twice a day.
At the 2nd week, she changed to Bactroban, 3 times a day. I wash it with an antibacterial soap, prior to each use. The scab is large & thick. I don't know if the meds are penetrating the scab. Do I soak/remove the scab? or what else should I do? It is quite painful.
During the day, I leave it uncovered as much as possible.
I can try to see her tomorrow.
