I Am A 68 Yr Old Female In Good Health.

I am a 68 yr old female in good health. I came down with a head cold/cough which immediately turned into bronchitis. My Dr. prescribed a dose pack which I took 5 days followed by doxycyclinehyclate 100 mg 2 x day and benzonatate 100 mg 3x day for cough. Chest X-ray showed no pneumonia. Today is 10th day on meads and I am no better. Cough (much yellow mucus), wheezing, and blowing much nose mucus. I think I should see some improvement by now. I am not running fever. Is this standard treatment and what should I do?
