I Am A 69 Year Old Male. I Visited My

I am a 69 year old male. I visited my family MD yesterday for a 6 month check up. I had lab values done before the visit. The MD told me my TCH level was high 7.11 and this indicated that I was Hypothyroid. She placed me on a Thyroid medicine. I do not know the name of the prescription as it was sent into Humana Pharmacy for a 90 day supply by the office staff.

I do have increased tiredness but no other symptoms and I have had no Thyroid problems in the past. I am a little concerned about taking this medication without further explanation from the MD and without further testing. Should I be concerned? I should have asked more questions while at the visit. Thank you for your assistance. Ted Fields
