I Am A 74 Year Old Female - Seizures (grand

I am a 74 year old female - seizures (grand mal) results from meningioma (benign) surgery in 2011. Seizures are controlled by medication - currently vimpat 500 mg 5x day, dilantin 100 mg 2x day and Dilantin infatabs 50mg one time a day. Having bad time with Dilantin, gingivitis, loose teeth, memory problems and double vision. Neuro is suggesting reducing Dilantin by replacing infatabs with 10 mg ONFI daily. My blood levels on Dilantin are currently close to 20. Epilepsy clinic suggested lamotrigine instead.. Doing research with would have less side effects. Any comments or source I would find to ask right questions.
Thank you
