I Am A 75 Year Old Male Who Take AREDS

I am a 75 year old male who take AREDS 2 vitamins for macular degeneration. The ophthalmologist also wants me to take selenium, because I take Eliquis for AFib. However, the literature suggests selenium significantly increases the chance of aggressive prostate cancer. This seems to be a lose-lose situation. What do you recommend?
