I Am A Type 2, Insulin Dependent Diabetic. I Cannot

I am a Type 2, insulin dependent diabetic. I cannot handle Lipitor or crestor as they send my sugars close to 400.My Dr, put me on pravastatin,because I had a silent heart attack last year.However,I gained 10lbs. , and my AM sugar numbers are climbing high again.Is there ANY statin drug that won't do this.When I quit Lipitor my #'s dropped drastically.Am I just super sensitive to statins? My carotids are basically clear.
