I Am A Diabetic And I Currently Take 1000 Mg

I am a diabetic and I currently take 1000 mg of metfromin every day. I got my dose this morning but just realized that I don't have my evening dose. I do have one 500 mg tablet handy will this suffice till morning? or would I be better off just waiting till the pharmacy opens?
