I Am A Diabetic For Nearly 30 Years. Age 64.

I am a diabetic for nearly 30 years. Age 64. I am on glycomet GP2. Three tablets a day before breakfast, lunch mand dinner. Fasting level around 85 and PP between 165 and 230.
I want to kmow whether the dosage of medicine is excessive, OR medicine to be changed. doctors considered opinion is there is no need for insulin. HbA1C was around 7 which is now 8.6
