I Am A Female 53 And Have My Been Menstruating

I am a female 53 and have my been menstruating since July 31 every day and some days bad cramping
Doctor prescribed norethindrone up to four per day at 5 mg but no results actually have more cramps with medicine. Tomorrow I have a hystercopy to see what's going on
Any ideas on what should I do to get some relieve?
