I Am A First Year Med Student, I Am Learning

I am a first year med student, I am learning about the cranial nerves and I noticed my uvula deviates to the left and the right side of my soft palate (palatoglossal muscle) is failing to rise. I still have an insect gag reflex though. I am wondering if a deviated uvula with "curtain sign" is ever considered normal? Should I seek medical attention for possible Vagus n. (cranial nere 10) injury?
