I Am A Nurse & Nurse Practitioner Student...My 10yo Son

I am a nurse & nurse practitioner student...My 10yo son has been having occasional pain (moderate/severe) at his urethra following swimming in pools. I am assuming this is just possibly a chemical irritation...any further suggestions on alternate causes? There is no trauma to the penis or any abnormal findings upon assessment.
