I Am A Relatively Healthy 56 Year Old Woman That

I am a relatively healthy 56 year old woman that exercises, eats healthy, does not smoke, 10 - 15 lbs overweight and active with husband and 2 college children.
over the last year I continue to get sick with inflamed lymph nodes in my throat and either a nose sinus irritation or throat or something that's frustrating but rarely puts me down for long. Im sick at least every month and it last 2-5 days.
I just had a blood test and it identified low white blood counts. 6 months ago my WBC was just a bit low but now it's lower. So they are going to send me to a hymatologist.
What could cause low white blood cells? They should have been elevated given I was finishing fighting a sore throat. How can I increase my WBC?
