I am a retired California licensed psychotherapist. I am wondering about a disorder in which an individual thinks a recent event occurred, has the details of the event, and subsequently finds out it never actually occurred. It is as if he dreamed it. Except it wasn't a dream. It was in waking life. The closest thing I have seen to it is a fugue.
