I Am A Retired Person 67 Yrs. Had Been Smoker

I am a retired person 67 yrs. had been smoker for last 40 years ,and left after the attack of asthma on 5th of Jan 2018 ,getting treatment from pulmonary expert of Appolo Hospital Delhi India ,I live in area which is highly polluted with smoke of vehicles , taking prescribed medicines regularly but asthma is no fully controlled ,what next should I follow?
