I Am A Student In The Pre-engineering Program At Bayside

I am a student in the pre-engineering program at Bayside High School in New York City. This year I am in a capstone class where my team and I are required to develop a unique solution to a justifiable problem. My project involves studying back problems incurred by NYC middle school students due to carrying heavy backpacks and our team hopes to find a way to alleviate this problem.
I was wondering if you can provide information of how backpacks can cause pain and if you ever seen something similar. Thank you for your time
