I Am A Track Runner And Just Within A Week

I am a track runner and just within a week or so I have developed a severe pain from the outside of my knee to my mid quad and have been unable to walk unless with a limp. There is also a slight swelling on the outside of my knee. The sight of pain is not painful to touch.
