I am a vestibular physiologist/ audioologist specializing in dizziness and vertigo. I have seen two recent cases of sudden onset of vertigo dizziness nausea and emesis with residual VOR disturbance no hearing loss or tinnitus but aural fullness Symptoms lasted for fays. Then recurred. With residual dizziness for weeks. Both were teachers with diagnosed hand foot and mouth disease One was told she had an acoustic neuroma (MRI scan with contrast normal). The other Ménière's disease. I diagnosed viral vestibulopaty and vestibular neuritis Do u agree. Patient number one is convinced she has a tumor There cases typically resolve with vestibular rehab. By an audiologist. Not physical therapy Acute phase responded to prednisone But did not resolve VOR disturbance
