I Am A Vocalist In A Metal Band And Have

I am a vocalist in a metal band and have been for some time, after 8 months of no shows we are suddenly back into doing shows and it almost feels like a lump on the left side of my throat, like something's stuck in there. Is this just my vocal chords irritated from suddenly being used like this again or could it be something worse
