I am allergic to several pain medications. Demerol is the only pain medication that relieves my pancreatic pain. Is Demerol still available. Last time I was hospitalized I was in severe pain and finally doctor prescribed the medication for me. I am scared next time I have an attack I won't be able to get it. It was the worst pain I ever felt and nothing worked but Demerol but kept getting told it was no longer in use and finally doctor called down to pharmacy to get it it for me.
