Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am an 81 year old woman. I am having a problem with swelling in my left foot and lower leg. My GP has directed me to elevate my foot above my heart level. I cannot lay in bed as I also have a pinched nerve in my neck area which causes my hands to inflame when in that position. I am currently sleeping (or trying to) in a chair with another chair pulled up. I have a folded blanket and pillow in the chair to raise my leg. This is actually working. However, due to the pain in my hands I cannot sleep. I have used Diphenhydramine with Acetaminophen but it is not working. I have 220 mg Naproxen tabs and 25mg Diphen tabs. How much of each can I take at one time?
