Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am at a loss. Two doctors and my dentist and still no relief. July - dental appointment very red irritated gums - thorough cleaning...no relief...very painful Dentist states it is not gingivitis or periodontal disease. Referred to my regular doctor. She put me on an antibacterial mouthwash. Gums better but a week later the insides of my lips became dry, itchy and burning. I could not eat anything without great burning sensation. Doctor number two (my primary doctor retired) put me on an antifungal liquid that I swish and swallow. I just finished that last night and nothing has changed. What is up? My gums are still irritated, although much less, but now I can't eat anything without the insides of my lips burning. Any thoughts???? Oh, my autoimmune blood test came back normal.
