I Am Concerned About A Cough I've Had For About

I am concerned about a cough I've had for about 6 months. It occurs mostly at night but also sporadically through the day. It's a deep cough, when it occurs. Like a constant tickle. Other symptoms: constant body itching and a lot of phlegm. My mom died of lung cancer. I was a "light" smoker from age 126 to 46. I'm 62 now.
