I Am Currently On Allopurinol Because Of My Gout, I

I am currently on allopurinol because of my gout, I would like to stop taking it and perhaps treat my condition naturally through diet. I am 36 years old and have been taking allopurinol since I`m 32 years old when I was diagnosed. Also I am a sufferer of plaque psoriasis and now psoriatic arthritis, I was thinking of taking Otelza but am afraid of any dangerous side affects; I have 2 small children and have to worry about catching all kinds of infections so I do not want my immune system to be too weak. What is your suggestion? And I have a lot of psoriasis so creams and ointments are not working.
