I Am Currently Taking 40 Mg Prednisone For Temporal Arteritis.I

I am currently taking 40 mg prednisone for temporal arteritis.I was told my vit D was low by my doctor and put on 2000 mg a day. However, my blood pressure is spiking throughout the day, from the 150s to 160s over 70s/80s. Would upping my vit D to 3000 be helpful and safe? I am 70 years old and otherwise in excellent health.
