I Am Currently Taking Macrobid For A Bladder Infection. I

I am currently taking Macrobid for a bladder infection. I had a slight cough at the time, and did not mention it to my doctor because my concern was the bladder infection. But, the cough has progressed and I cannot take deep breaths without it hurting. I have some pain in my left ribs and also some in my back. If this is an upper respiratory infection, will the Macrobid help it as well?
